School Is Out!
Hi Mommies’
School is out ….OMG! I have to ask, how is everyone doing? School is out and where i live the kids don’t have to go back until January 11th. I have to say, that is a long time, their last day of school was December 18th and the week was kind of hectic. For the whole week I kept hesitating about finishing my Christmas shopping , there was one gift in my house till December 23rd. I don’t know, I was just a little mentally preoccupied i guess. While school is out I planned to engage the kids with fun educational games however, this never works out the way you plan ( I still have two weeks to get this accomplished though).
I know most of the time this is not a fun time for parents because this means that if you have school aged children you have to find childcare for them if you work and that is more money out of your pocket, if you are stay at home parents this break means your “free” time is interrupted. Who really wants to deal with the kids when school is out?
If you are being honest with yourself you are pulling your hair out, counting down the precious days until school is back in…oh what a glorious day that will be….RIGHT?
Don’t worry, I know the feeling. Of course, we all love our kids and would do anything for them but HEY…when school is out….it is an infringement on our time! ![]()
There are some of you moms out there that revel in this time while school is out and God bless you! All you homeschoolers, you are the ones I’d like to hear from, I want to know how you handle yourself through the storm.
What else can we do with the kids while school is out? Other than fun educational games and the park. Any suggestions? Ideas? What have you been doing during this time? Even if it has not been effective i want to hear from you because you know there is definitely another mother out there that is doing the same thing. If you don’t have a clue then let’s just brain storm so we can make it through the “School Is Out” season…
Here are some other questions to consider in our brain storm.
How can we keep our kids “refreshed” on their school curriculum?
How do we keep the kids occupied while school is out?
What are some ways that mommy could keep from becoming overwhelmed?
Looking forward to hearing from you mommies….

I have my kids go to the library and get books to read to keep them busy.
